Delling Lab – Junior Specialist
Department of Physiology
UC San Francisco
The Delling Lab in the Department of Physiology at UC San Francisco is recruiting for a Junior Specialist.
Responsibilities:
- Basic laboratory skills: Molarity calculations, accurate solution formulation, pH determination, and maintenance of accurate notebooks.
- Molecular biology: PCR, DNA isolation and manipulation, PCR genotyping interpretation, protein gel electrophoresis.
- Animal work: Will be expected to work with mice and manage mouse colony.
- Lab management: Oversee and organize ordering of lab supplies.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) or at least four years of research experience.
- Ability to understand and follow basic laboratory protocols with direct supervision.
- Ability to perform complex tasks without committing errors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must have a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) in Biological Sciences with emphasis on cellular and/or molecular biology with completion of an undergraduate research project.
See Table 24B for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $55,000-$58,600.
