Position description

Associate or Full Professional Researcher - Okada lab

The Okada lab at the Department of Neurological Surgery is recruiting for a Professional Researcher at the Associate or Full rank. The position will lead and manage translational neuro-oncology research programs focused on cellular immunotherapy for brain tumors. Responsibilities include: (1) coordination and scientific oversight of preclinical and IND-enabling studies for the clinical trials; (2) authorship and integration of regulatory documents (CMC, nonclinical Pharm-Tox, clinical operations interfaces, clinical protocol) for FDA submissions; (3) cross-functional program management across GMP manufacturing partners (internal and external), clinical teams, and research laboratories; (4) data interpretation, manuscript preparation, and grant/report deliverables; and (5) mentoring and training of junior staff and trainees in translational methods and compliance.

A Doctorate degree or its equivalent is required. Experience leading preclinical studies, along with IND-enabling development, GMP manufacturing oversight, regulatory authorship, and clinical trial coordination are preferred.
