Assistant, Associate, Full Professor of Surgery – Vascular Surgeon

The Department of Surgery, University of California, San Francisco, is seeking outstanding candidates for a full-time academic surgeon with an exemplary record of patient care and expertise in Vascular Surgery. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible. Applicants must have completed or will complete by the time of hire, an accredited Vascular Surgery fellowship or integrated Vascular Surgery residency program. Applicants’ materials must list qualifications upon submission. This position will be at the UCSF-East Bay Surgery program based at Oakland’s Highland Hospital, which is a member of the Alameda Health System (AHS) with a catchment population of over 2 million.
The selected candidate will be expected to support the continued expansion of the vascular and endovascular surgery practice at UCSF-East Bay. The practice includes a broad range of open and endovascular procedures at Highland Hospital and community affiliates and also includes vascular trauma at the level 1 trauma center, complex venous disease, spine exposure, and oncologic reconstruction. Applicants with a successful track record or strong interest in clinical research, education, and quality improvement programs are encouraged to apply.
Candidates must have recognized skills in the education of surgery residents and medical students and will be expected to be active participants in the Department’s residency training and educational programs.
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. The minimum base salary range for this position is $154,700 - $405,900. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
