Assistant, Associate, or Full Professional Researcher – Borowsky lab
The Department of Pathology is seeking an Assistant, Associate or Full Professional Researcher for the Laboratory of Dr. Sandy Borowsky, whose lab focuses on breast pathology of Cancer. We are looking for a talented scientist who will play a key role in advancing digital pathology workflows, histopathologic interpretation, and research design, contributing to ongoing collaborative projects in diagnostic imaging, tissue analysis, and cancer biology. This individual will be expected to:
- Provide expert digital slide annotation, histologic interpretation, and quality control for research materials.
- Collaborate with investigators on study design, pathology data interpretation, and protocol development.
- Guide and support trainees, research staff, and students involved in pathology and imaging-related projects.
- Maintain and oversee structured databases related to pathology and digital imaging.
- Contribute to scientific publications, including figure preparation, data summaries, and manuscript content.
- Support the preparation of presentations and research deliverables for internal and external audiences.
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely execution of project milestones.
Required Qualifications:
- Doctoral-level Degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent).
- Board eligibility or certification in pathology or equivalent.
- Demonstrated expertise in diagnostic histopathology, including experience with human tissue specimens.
- Proficiency with digital pathology platforms and image annotation tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Track record of independent research.
- Subspecialty training in breast pathology or a related area.
- Experience supervising or mentoring research trainees.
- Familiarity with imaging databases, data management tools, or protocol development.
- Prior involvement in manuscript writing and data-driven publication efforts.
