Junior/Assistant/Associate/Full Specialist Positions Available
UCSF Department of Bioengineering & Therapeutic Sciences
The various laboratories in the UCSF Department of Bioengineering & Therapeutic Sciences have a Junior/Assistant/Associate/Full Specialist Positions available immediately. Title and salary will be commensurate with level of experience.
The Department of Bioengineering & Therapeutic Sciences includes diverse research in the areas of computational and synthetic chemistry, biophysics, chemical biology, systems and synthetic biology, enabling technologies, and drug discovery. Our department is characterized by a culture of collaboration and innovation in biomedical science.
We seek creative candidates who will assist in performing studies to address the fundamental questions in diverse areas relevant to our Department.
The individual will also be responsible for other lab management‐related duties, including but not limited to, lab protocol submission, lab safety, facility inspection, lab database construction and maintenance, lab supply management and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Junior Specialist - Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) or at least four years of research experience.
- Assistant Specialist - Master’s degree or a baccalaureate degree with three or more years of research experience.
- Associate Specialist - Master’s degree (or equivalent degree) or five to ten years of relevant experience.
- Full Specialist - terminal degree (or equivalent degree) or ten or more years of relevant experience.
- The candidate must have at least one year experience working in a lab and research environment and proven ability to work well as part of a team and have enthusiasm for the practice of science.
- Candidates must meet the required qualifications at the time of appointment.
