Position description
Junior, Assistant, Associate or Full Specialist- He Lab
Department of Pathology
University of California, San Francisco
The He lab, a newly established lab in the Department of Pathology at UCSF, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join as a Junior, Assistant, Associate or Full Specialist. Our previous work has involved building cell atlases of developing human tissues with unprecedented resolution (Mouse limb atlas, human limb atlas, human lung atlas, human lung immune atlas), revealing many new cell states and transition states with dynamically changing key regulators. To understand how the cell state changes are controlled by the trans-acting transcription factors (TFs) and cis-regulatory elements, we are combining perturbations, organoids, and single-cell multiomic snapshots to decode the underlying logic of cell fate decision and execution.
Area of Specialization / Responsibilities: We are interested in candidates who can conduct research both independently and collaboratively. Responsibilities include designing, conducting, and analyzing experiments, as well as serving as the lab manager for the initial small team to oversee lab supplies and maintenance of the area. Candidates should have expertise in organoid (or cell) culture and/or second-generation sequencing experiments.

- Full Specialist: Terminal degree (or equivalent degree) in Biological sciences or a related field OR ten or more years of relevant experience.
