The Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, is seeking outstanding candidates for a full time, academic surgeon to provide the full spectrum of vascular care at UCSF Medical Center and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. Candidates must be board eligible/board certified in Vascular Surgery by the time of hire. Applicants must have completed an accredited vascular surgery fellowship or integrated residency program and be well trained in both open and endovascular interventions by the time of hire. Applicants’ materials must list current, eligible, and/or pending qualifications upon submission. The successful candidate will develop a broad-based clinical vascular surgery practice, as well as develop a nationally recognized academic portfolio consisting of either research and/or educational activities consonant with the division’s existing programs and mission.

Clinical responsibilities include staffing of outpatient clinics and performance of surgical procedures at both UCSF and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, participating in the division call schedule that includes weekday/weekend coverage of the Parnassus campus and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, participating in vascular call coverage for the Mission Bay campus (1 day a week), and participating in the physician reading panel for the noninvasive vascular lab.

Candidates must have recognized skills in the education of surgery residents and medical students and will be expected to be active participants in the Department’s residency training and educational programs, including providing scheduled lectures as part of the division’s didactic educational programs.

The UCSF Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art care for patients with vascular disorders including peripheral artery disease, aortic aneurysm/dissection, carotid artery disease, hemodialysis access and venous disease. Faculty treat a diverse population of patients at the main UCSF campus, several affiliated hospitals, and outreach clinics across the Bay Area. Our division is noted for its longstanding training and research programs that have broadly impacted the specialty.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $149,700 - $232,900. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
