Position description

Occupational, Environmental and Climate Medicine - Academic Clinical Faculty Search, UCSF. The UCSF Department of Medicine is seeking academic clinical faculty members for appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor ranks in its multi-site Division of Occupational, Environmental and Climate Medicine (OECM). We are seeking faculty with an established interest in the intersection of climate change and health, with a focus on research and education in this topic area. The Division of OECM includes clinical services at Parnassus-Mt. Zion Hospital, the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. Our faculty enjoy diverse roles, staffing clinical services (including but not limited to employee health services and occupational and environmental medicine case consultation) and participation in education and research. The successful candidate must be a physician-scientist who is California medical licensed or eligible for licensing in California, with an established research track-record in climate change-related research. Excellent communication skills and some teaching experience are required. Board eligibility or certification in Occupational and Environmental Medicine is preferred.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $127,000-$197,600. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
