Position description
Tenure-Track Faculty Position
The Department of Cellular & Molecular Pharmacology (CMP) at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. Candidates for Assistant Professor are encouraged to apply, but we will also welcome applications from exceptional candidates at the Associate or Full Professor level. We encourage applications from researchers who use both computational and experimental techniques to tackle fundamental questions in biology. Our goal is to hire innovative researchers who use modern techniques and approaches to interrogate fundamental mechanistic questions at the molecular, cellular, tissue, and organismal levels. We also seek researchers who creatively explore how such mechanistic insights can be used to advance biomedical science . Successful candidates are expected to have completed an advanced degree (PhD or equivalent).
CMP is home to world-renowned laboratories working in the fields of molecular biology, cell biology, neurobiology, chemical biology, systems and synthetic biology, and molecular/cellular engineering. (http://cmp.ucsf.edu/). The UCSF Mission Bay campus offers a vibrant atmosphere for collaboration among basic science and clinical departments, as well as state of the art research facilities. Successful applicants will be expected to establish an exciting, leading-edge research program and participate in graduate and postdoctoral training.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $118,000-$309,800. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
