Physician Educator

The UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA SAN FRANCISCO - Department of Medicine invites applications for academic clinician educators who excel in teaching and clinical care and demonstrate accomplishments in creative activities and knowledge dissemination. The department has particular interest in candidates who can demonstrate outstanding contributions in education and training, noteworthy innovation in clinical practice, or original clinical research.
The rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The following is required for all positions:
• Valid California Medical License
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine (and/or in a medicine subspecialty)
The following is preferred:
• Recent experience in an academic teaching hospital
The Department of Medicine at UCSF is the largest of the 28 academic departments of the UCSF School of Medicine. We are composed of 41 divisions that provide comprehensive medical services at multiple institutions of great distinction and diversity.

For positions that are 51% effort or more:
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $127,000-$333,700. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
For positions that are 50% effort or less:
See Table 2 for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $90,700-$238,300.
