Position description

Urologic Oncologist

The Department of Urology at the University of California, San Francisco, is recruiting a fellowship-trained urologic oncologist. The successful candidate must hold an MD degree and be board-certified/eligible by the American Board of Urology. The position will be in the Clinical or In Residence series at the Assistant Professor level. The ideal candidate must be experienced in open, robotic, laparoscopic, and endoscopic approaches. There are opportunities for investigator-initiated outcomes research as well as translational collaboration with well-established and well-funded scientists at UCSF and its affiliates. UCSF Urology is opening outreach facilities in the East Bay and San Mateo and part of the Urologic Oncologist’s time may be spent at these sites, as well as our affiliate sites (ZSFG or SFVAMC). All candidates must have or be able to obtain a California medical license. The candidate must have recognized skills in the education of trainees, including, but not limited to, Medical Students, Residents, and Fellows. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See See Table 5. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
