Clinician Position with Expertise in Manual Medicine
(MD or DO)
The UCSF Osher Center, founded in 1998, is renowned for its excellence and commitment to the highest quality integrative patient care, education, and research. We are seeking a dedicated integrative physician with expertise in manual medicine to work 50-100%FTE. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a diverse, interprofessional team in the provision of outstanding, evidence-based integrative healthcare. This role offers unique opportunities to collaborate with talented clinicians, educators, and researchers at the Osher Center; to build partnerships and promote integrative health across UCSF; and to participate in teaching, mentoring, and scholarly activities.
This position is part of a faculty cluster hire to build UCSF Osher Center capacity in integrative health equity through innovative faculty who bring diverse backgrounds, research, and clinical expertise. To qualify for this 50-100%FTE clinical position, candidates must have a medical license (MD or DO) to practice in the State of California by the hire start date. Candidates must have formal training in manual medicine (e.g., fellowship in Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy, Doctor of Chiropractic training, fellowship or board certification in integrative medicine). Preferred candidates will be board-certified in family medicine, internal medicine, or physical medicine and rehabilitation, and have a minimum of two years of clinical practice experience.
Applicants will preferably have experience in medical education. The position requires didactic teaching, learner supervision and mentorship, fostering interdisciplinary research, and participating in academic and service responsibilities at the University.
The faculty appointment will be in a School of Medicine department to be determined based on the area of the candidate’s expertise.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $95,200-$377,200. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
For positions that are 50% effort or less:
See Table 2 for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $86,500-$228,600.
