Position description
Lupo and Li Labs – Junior/Assistant/Associate/Full Specialist
The Lupo and Li Labs are seeking a Junior, Assistant, Associate, or Full Specialist. The primary research area will focus on applying advanced MRI methods and/or machine learning to evaluate patients with brain tumors. The candidate will be expected to develop, utilize, and extend innovative imaging and spectroscopic data acquisition, processing, and/or statistical and data analysis tools to analyze multimodal imaging and spectroscopic data. Specifically, the main tasks will involve data collection, management, and analysis, including image segmentation, spectral analysis, multi-parametric cohort analysis, building and training predictive models, and the translational application of the developed tools to study patients with brain tumors and/or other neurological diseases.
Required Qualifications:
- Specialists appointed at the Junior rank must possess a baccalaureate degree in a related science (biomedical imaging, applied mathematics, engineering, computer science, etc.) (or equivalent degree) or at least four years of research experience.
- Specialists appointed at the Assistant rank must possess a master’s degree (or equivalent degree) or a baccalaureate degree with three or more years of research experience.
- Specialists appointed at the Associate rank must possess a master’s degree (or equivalent degree) or five to ten years of research experience.
- Specialists appointed at the Full rank must possess a terminal degree (or equivalent degree) or ten or more years of research experience.
- Applicants must meet all the qualifications by the time of hire.
- Applicant materials must list current and/or pending qualifications upon submission.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in biomedical imaging, applied mathematics, engineering, computer science, or related field
- Have at least 4 years of research experience using MR imaging
- Previous exposure to a biomedical research laboratory environment
