Position description

Assistant Professional Researcher – Huang lab

The Department of Pathology is seeking an Assistant Professional Researcher for the laboratory of Dr. Eric Huang, whose lab focuses on disease mechanisms of frontotemporal dementia (FTD). We are looking for a talented scientist who will contribute to investigations using single-cell multiomics to uncover brain region-specific vulnerability and resilience in FTD caused by dominant mutations in GRN.
This individual will be expected to:

  1. use single-cell multiomics technology in postmortem brain tissues from FTD patients with GRN mutations
  2. characterize histopathology of FTD using spatial transcriptomics
  3. conduct bioinformatics analyses

Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in cellular and molecular neurobiology or in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong background and hands-on expertise in single-cell transcriptomics and histopathology.
  • Completion of post-doctoral fellowship.
