Position description

The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is seeking a Pediatric Radiologist for a faculty position. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical X, in-Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.

The selected candidate will work at the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in San Francisco and Oakland with a group of dedicated pediatric radiologists in an environment of excellent clinical care, teaching and research. Faculty are expected to develop a clinical or more basic research program in the area of one's specialty focus. The faculty will supervise and teach residents, fellows and medical students in pediatric radiology. Obligations will include clinical work at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in San Francisco and Oakland, but may also involve clinical work at other UCSF Health sites.

The position requires an MD degree (or equivalent), ability to practice medicine in California, expertise in pediatric radiology, and completion of fellowship training in pediatric radiology. Applicants are expected to be board certified (or eligible) by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or be prepared to enter into the ABR Alternate Pathway. Applicant materials must list current and/or pending qualifications upon submission. These qualifications are to be met by the time of the faculty appointment start date. Faculty are also expected to obtain a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Pediatric Radiology after the start of their faculty appointment, when eligible.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $142,800-$377,200. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
