Position description

General Obstetrician/Gynecologist - Assistant, Associate or Full Professor

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking a board certified/eligible ObGyn Generalist at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor to join the Generalist Division.

The primary focus of the Generalist will be the clinical care of general obstetrical and gynecologic patients at UCSF. Clinical responsibilities will include office practice in general obstetrics and gynecology, office-based procedures, gynecological surgery and inpatient obstetrics. The successful applicant will demonstrate an aptitude for and dedication to medical education including direct teaching of medical students and residents.

Candidates must have demonstrated capability and experience in providing evidence-based and patient-centered ObGyn care and in collaborating and coordinating care in clinical teams that enhance the patient experience with a commitment to excellence in clinical care, patient safety, and patient satisfaction.

The successful candidate must hold an MD or DO degree and be board certified/eligible in Ob/Gyn. Applicant materials must list current and/or pending qualifications upon submission. The selected candidate must meet all of the qualifications at the time of appointment.
Screening of applicants will begin immediately and will continue as needed throughout the recruitment period. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience and training.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $121,100-$320,100. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. UCSF Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences has a total salary plan that uses National benchmarking standards to set salaries by subspecialty.
