ADJUNCT FACULTY POSITION
Department of Urology, University of California, San Francisco

The Department of Urology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) invites applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor in the Adjunct Professorial series (non-tenure track). Salary and title will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and training.

A strong track record researching the environmental drivers of cancer pathogenesis, and mechanisms that contribute to disease progression is required. The candidate must also have a strong record using stem cell models to understand tissue biology and developmental biology. Additionally, successful applicants are expected to demonstrate excellence in CRISPR functional genomics. PhD, MD, EdD or equivalent academic doctoral degree is required at the time of hire. Applicant's CV must state (pending) degree requirement upon application submission. The applicant must have at least 5 years of experience in mammalian stem cell research. Additionally, successful applicants are expected to demonstrate excellence in two dimensional and three dimensional cell culture models of human organs. Management experience is strongly preferred.

Teaching duties for this position will be minimal. The successful candidate is expected to develop an independent area of scholarly work. Research experience (including a record of publications) in the field of mammalian biology and stem cell research.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $112,500-$176,000. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
