The Department of Surgery, UCSF East Bay Surgery Program at the University of California, San Francisco, is seeking outstanding candidates for a full-time academic surgeon with an exemplary record of patient care. Candidates must be board eligible/certified at the time of hire. Candidates that have completed or will complete by the time of hire a Critical Care fellowship are preferred. Applicant’s materials must list (pending) qualifications upon submission. This position will be based at the UCSF-East Bay Surgery program at Oakland’s Highland Hospital, a member of the Alameda Health System (AHS).
Candidates must have recognized skills in the education of surgery residents and medical students and will be expected to be active participants in the Department’s residency training and educational programs.
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $142,800 - $377,200. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
