Position description

The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking a faculty member with expertise in breast imaging research for the newly endowed Edward A. Sickles Distinguished Professorship in Radiology. Funds will be available to support the research activities of the holder of the Distinguished Professorship related to their work in breast imaging. The selected candidate should demonstrate a commitment to building a strong academic career, excellence and advancement in education, research and creative activities. Faculty are required to provide outstanding teaching to residents, fellows, medical students, and master’s students. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Associate or Full Professor in the In Residence, Clinical X, HS Clinical, or Adjunct series.

Eligibility

  • MD PhD degree (or equivalent), or MD (or equivalent) with ability to practice clinical Radiology in California.
  • Associate Professor rank or above in any academic series.
  • Must be a recognized leader in radiology research with expertise in breast imaging.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $150,300-$377,200. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
