Position description
The Cardiology Division of the University of California, San Francisco is seeking an advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology board certified or eligible faculty candidate for its growing program. The candidate must have formal training in the inpatient and outpatient care of advanced heart failure, heart transplantation, mechanical circulatory support device and pulmonary hypertension patients. Interest and expertise in other subspecialty areas of cardiology and/or a research background are highly desirable. Applicants must hold an MD, MD/PhD, or MD/MPH degree(s) and be qualified for appointment at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $104,800-$320,100. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
