Position description
Department of Family and Community Medicine Research Faculty Search
The Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco is dedicated to building a just and equitable society, recognizing that health and illness are shaped by the contexts of people’s lives.
We are seeking a faculty researcher to join our dynamic, nationally-recognized research program focused on advancing and applying knowledge in patient care, population health, community engagement and public policy. Required qualifications are a medical degree and/or PhD or equivalent degree in a relevant social science, and a proven track record of peer-reviewed publications. Preferred qualifications include a track record of extramural grant funding and a research focus on primary care, health equity, implementation science, and/or community engagement.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $121,100-$342,900. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (https://ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf) which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
For positions that are 50% effort or less:
See Table 2 for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $86,500-$228,600.
