Position description

Associate Specialist- Shu Lab

The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry is now recruiting an Associate Specialist. The areas of specialization will include:

  • Chemical Biology
  • Molecular and Cellular Biology
  • Biochemistry

Required Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree (or equivalent degree) or five to ten years of experience in the relevant specialization. Appointees at the Associate level should have significant record of academic accomplishment including published or in-press publication, and a demonstrated record of University and/or public service. Additionally, appointees at the Associate level will provide considerable independence in planning and execution of research.

  • The candidate should possess a diverse set of chemical and biological knowledge and technical skills, including chemical biology and cell signaling including assay development, oncoprotein interaction, molecular cloning, microscopic imaging, DNA-based approach in deconvolution of targets, Mass Spectrometry, cell culture, flow cytometry.
