Position description

The University of California, San Francisco, Division of Cardiology and Department of Radiology, are jointly seeking a board-certified or eligible non-invasive cardiologist with expertise in multimodality cardiac imaging. The candidate must be board-certified or eligible in cardiovascular medicine and have expertise (Level III) in cardiac CT, MRI, and PET. The successful candidate will be an outstanding clinician with desire to work in a rapidly growing academic cardiology and radiology units and within multidisciplinary teams, including those in adult congenital heart disease, interventional structural and heart valve disease, and coronary revascularization. An active interest and experience in clinical, translational, or basic research is highly desirable.

Applicants must hold MD (or equivalent degree), MD/PhD (or equivalent degree), or MD/MPH (or equivalent degree) degree(s) and be qualified for appointment at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or the Professor level.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the cardiac imaging program’s growth and ensure that we provide world-class service to our patients in the Bay Area and beyond. Faculty recruit will perform duties as an attending physician in the cardiology inpatient and consult service, ambulatory practice and in Radiology as part of the cardiac imaging group, reading imaging studies and developing protocols for imaging studies.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $104,800-$320,100. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
