Position description
University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a pathologist for a full-time faculty position at our Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) Hospital Campus. This unique opportunity includes general surgical pathology sign out, and Cytopathology with performance of fine needle aspiration biopsies. Subspecialty training or interest is preferred, especially in breast, gyn and genitourinary pathology. The position offers the candidate a chance to work with a diverse patient population at the city and county hospital while participating in a premier academic, teaching and research environment. We are seeking a pathologist for general surgical pathology, and Cytopathology. Highly desired are candidates that have completed or are currently in fellowship training in at least one of the following: surgical pathology, cytopathology, breast, gynecologic or genitourinary pathology. The position offers the candidate a chance to work at a premier academic and teaching institution with a diverse patient population, located at the city and county hospital of San Francisco.

Application Requirements:
- Candidates must have a valid California medical license (or qualifications to obtain one by time of appointment), and be Board Certified or eligible for certification in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by time of appointment. - Preference will be given to candidates with qualifications including a surgical pathology fellowship, and/or anatomic pathology/surgical pathology subspecialty fellowship training.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $97,300 - $186,200. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
