Position description

The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is seeking an Interventional Radiologist for a faculty position. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical X, In-Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.

The selected candidate should demonstrate a commitment to building a strong academic career and excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research. The candidate will supervise trainees and provide outstanding teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows at a top radiology training program in the country. To accomplish this, the department seeks candidates who have clinical expertise in interventional radiology. The selected candidate will provide clinical services primarily at the UCSF Moffitt/Long Hospital, Precision Care Medical Building and Mission Bay hospitals but may also include clinical work at other UCSF Health and UCSF affiliated sites including Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) and the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC).

The position requires an MD degree (or equivalent), ability to practice medicine in California, and completion of ACGME-accredited interventional radiology fellowship or interventional radiology residency training program (completed by appointment start date). Applicants are expected to be board certified (or eligible) in Radiology and to obtain a Certificate of Added Qualification in Interventional Radiology (when eligible). The requirements are to be met before the start of the faculty appointment. Applicants must list all of these qualifications (or if pending) on their CV upon submission.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $142,800-$377,200. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
