Position description

AMBULATORY PULMONARY MEDICINE FACULTY
UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN FRANCISCO

The Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy and Sleep Medicine is seeking board certified/board eligible pulmonologists for several full-time ambulatory faculty positions. Pulmonary ambulatory care is provided at the Lung Health Center (Parnassus) and Mt. Zion Pulmonary clinics, and faculty provide high quality primary and tertiary pulmonary care for patients from our local community as well as our vast referral network. Our clinic has a high need for providers who see a broad range of general pulmonary conditions, as well as other subspecialty indications (eg bronchiectasis, sarcoidosis, asthma, COPD, and neuromuscular lung disease). In addition to clinical practice, our faculty engage in clinical teaching to the next generation of pulmonologists and advance the care of pulmonary disease through research and education.

The candidate must have completed training in Pulmonary Medicine and is expected to have met the requirements for appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at UCSF. The candidate is expected to contribute to Pulmonary Medicine clinical care and clinical teaching and participate in other activities of the Division. A track record of excellent clinical care is required as is a commitment to contribute to our highly interprofessional team. A history of teaching or academic productivity is preferred given the academic environment in which our clinic resides, and we expect faculty to work with trainees including medical students, residents and fellows.

Requirements:
• Board certified/board eligible in Pulmonary Medicine
Preferred/Desirable Qualifications (optional)
• Clinical teaching skills and interest
