The Division of General Internal Medicine (DGIM) at the University of California, San Francisco seeks dedicated Clinician-Educator faculty who will combine the provision of ambulatory internal medicine with other academic responsibilities. At UCSF DGIM, we care for over 25,000 patients from different socioeconomic, racial/ethnic, religious, sexual identity/orientation, ability and age groups. We are seeking diverse candidates to care for our patients and advance our core mission of outstanding clinical, educational, administrative, DEI and research work. Candidates with interest in medical education, practice innovation/quality improvement, behavioral health, health equity, and digital health are encouraged to apply.

Candidates must have demonstrated skill in ambulatory internal medicine and the provision of comprehensive care to diverse populations. Candidates must demonstrate interest in educational or quality improvement activities such as direct teaching and mentorship, curriculum development and evaluation, quality improvement initiatives, or educational research. Candidates must be American Board of Internal Medicine certified or eligible and possess both valid California medical license and valid DEA by start date.

One of our core missions is diversity, equity and inclusion. We have hired a Director of DEI starting in July 2021, we have monthly Anti-Racism Town Halls, and a Social Justice Committee. We believe that the educational, research and clinical care environments are enhanced when diverse groups of people come together to learn and work.
