Academic Clinical Faculty Search, UCSF Department of Medicine and San Francisco VA Health Care System Infectious Diseases Division

The UCSF Department of Medicine is seeking academic research and clinical faculty members at all ranks in the Infectious Diseases Division of the San Francisco VA Health Care System. The Division is one of 3 sites within the UCSF Infectious Diseases program.

Candidates will have demonstrated an aptitude for basic, translational or clinical investigation, as well as clinical excellence. In particular, candidates must show strong potential for extramurally funded research, and will be expected to have obtained, or be able to apply competitively for career-development awards.

Candidates must have an MD, current US medical license and be board-certified or eligible in Infectious Diseases. The appointment will be made at the level of Instructor or higher in the Adjunct, Health Sciences Clinical, or Clinical X Professor series at UCSF and report directly to the Division Chief of Infectious Diseases at SFVAHCS. The selected candidate(s) will be appointed at a rank and/or series commensurate with experience and qualifications. Successful candidates will have strong references and evidence of or potential for outstanding leadership in academic medicine.

The minimum base salary range for this position is $70,800-$305,900 based on positions that are partially funded by UCSF and according to the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. This position may include membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
