Position description
Faculty Positions | Neuromuscular Division, Department of Neurology
The Division of Neuromuscular in the Department of Neurology is recruiting new faculty members at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor ranks of the Adjunct, HS Clinical, Clinical X, and In Residence faculty series.
Qualified candidates must possess a medical or doctoral degree at the time of appointment. Preferred qualifications include medical license, Board Certification in Neurology, and fellowship training in EMG and Neuromuscular Disorders at the time of appointment. Candidate’s application materials must state qualifications (or if pending) upon submission. Clinical appointees will have responsibilities in direct patient care, are expected to participate in clinical research or other creative endeavors, and will provide didactic and informal teaching and supervision to students, residents, and fellows on clinical rounds. Non-clinical appointees must participate in research and provide robust laboratory teaching and mentoring to graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and other laboratory staff.
All UCSF faculty are expected to participate in University and public service, and demonstrate rising recognition and accomplishment in their field by way of invited presentations at the regional and national level, collaborative or disseminated creative effort, and other professional activity.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5: https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/2022-23/oct-2022-salary-scales/t5-summary.pdf. The minimum base salary range for this position is $92,100-$305,900. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (https://ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf) which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
