Neurology UCSF School of Medicine and UCSF Health

The Department of Neurology at UCSF invites applications from exceptional clinicians for full-time clinical faculty appointments in our General Neurology Outpatient Practice, located in San Francisco. Applicants must possess a medical degree, Board certification in Neurology, or have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited or ABPN-approved residency in Neurology at the time of appointment. Candidate’s application materials must state qualifications (or if pending) upon submission. Appointment rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s level of experience and qualifications for the Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Adjunct, or Clinical X series.

Responsibilities will include providing direct patient care in the outpatient setting and supervision of housestaff and students in the adult neurology resident continuity clinic. Three or more years of teaching experience is preferred, as responsibilities in this area include didactic and informal teaching in the outpatient clinic setting. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment and experience working with underserved patients are strongly desirable.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5: https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/2022-23/oct-2022-salary-scales/t5-summary.pdf. The minimum base salary range for this position is
$104,800-$320,100. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (https://ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf) which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
