Junior/Assistant/Associate Specialist- Knight Lab
Department of Physiology
University of California, San Francisco
This a research position in the Knight lab at UCSF. The successful candidate will assist graduate students and postdocs with experiments investigating the neurobiology of hunger and thirst in mice and rats. Responsibilities may include preparing tissue sections and performing histology; performing surgery on mice and rats; and running behavioral experiments in conjunction with neural recordings or manipulations. Individuals with experience in systems neuroscience or microsurgery in rodents are particularly encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications:
Junior Specialist - a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent degree) or at least four years of research experience.
Assistant Specialist- a master’s degree or a baccalaureate degree with 3 or more years of research experience.
Associate Specialist- a master’s degree (or equivalent degree) or five to ten years of research experience.
At least one year of relevant lab experience is required.
