Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension/ Cardiac Catheterization, HS Clinical, Clinical X Faculty Series

The Division of Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital are recruiting a new faculty member to provide pediatric pulmonary hypertension and cardiac catheterization expertise at Benioff Children’s Hospitals San Francisco (SF) and Oakland (O). Clinical duties will include inpatient and outpatient medical management of children with pulmonary hypertension as well as diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures for children and young adults with congenital heart disease. The faculty member will attend on the pulmonary hypertension inpatient service at BCHSF 13 weeks per year and will participate in weekly pulmonary hypertension outpatient clinics at both SF and Oakland. In addition he/she will perform diagnostic and catheterization procedures 2 days per week. Appointment will be made at the Assistant or Associate Professor ranks of the Health Sciences (HS) Clinical or Clinical X faculty series.

Required qualifications include a medical degree and license; Board Certification in Pediatrics and subspecialty certification or eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology; formal clinical training in pediatric cardiology, exposure to and an interest in management of pediatric pulmonary hypertension and expertise in pediatric cardiac catheterization, including completion of a fourth year senior pediatric interventional catheterization fellowship.
