The Division of Infectious Diseases at University of California, School of Medicine seeks a clinician educator. The faculty member would be involved in both the care of patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings. The position will include 80% direct patient care time and 20% administrative time. The faculty member will care for patients on both inpatient teaching Infectious Diseases (ID) consult services (general ID or transplant ID) and the non-teaching inpatient ID consult services (located at Parnassus or at affiliated hospitals). The faculty member will also provide care for patients in one or more of the UCSF outpatient ID Clinics (General ID, Transplant ID, or HIV). The faculty member will be expected to participate in teaching of students, residents, and ID fellows. Opportunities for participation in creative work includes clinical research, QI, and medical education. Candidates must have an MD, DO, or MD-PhD degree from an approved LCME medical school, satisfactory completion of an Internal Medical residency program from an ACGME-accredited program, be eligible for California medical licensure, and board-certified or board-eligible in ID. Appointment will be at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level commensurate with experience.
