Junior Specialist- Weiss Lab

The Department of Neurology is now recruiting for a Junior Specialist. The Specialist will be involved in Neural cancer research. The Specialist will perform molecular biology techniques, particularly cloning targeting constructs and CRISPR plasmids. The Specialist will assist in culturing and differentiating human stem cells and analyzing protein expression via flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, western blot, and assessing cell viability. The Specialist will also work with mice, performing surgeries and orthotopic injections and isolate tumors from the mice. The Specialist will have the opportunity to present at lab meetings and will assist the lab manager with related duties.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in biological-related science
• Previous laboratory experience
• Experience culturing mammalian cells
