The Department of Medicine, Division of HIV, Infectious Diseases and Global Medicine is seeking an Assistant Adjunct Professor for a full time faculty position. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant in the Adjunct Professor series depending on qualifications and interests.
Faculty in the Adjunct Professor series are individuals who are predominantly engaged in research or other creative work and who participate in teaching, or individuals who contribute primarily to teaching and have a limited responsibility for research or other creative work; these individuals may be professional practitioners of appropriate distinction. The Assistant Adjunct Professor will maintain a strong research portfolio and have expertise in epidemiology of infectious diseases. They will also have teaching expertise in biostatistics or related courses and teach MD and PhD students and post docs in infectious disease epidemiology in academic setting. Appointees with titles in this series also engage in University and public service consistent with their assignments.
• Qualifications required to be hired for the position include an MD and/or PhD, expertise in epidemiology of infectious diseases, and a body of work demonstrating accomplishment in this area. They will also have teaching expertise in biostatistics or related courses.
