Academic Hospital Medicine faculty positions at the University of California San Francisco

The University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) Department of Medicine is recruiting internists to join the Division of Hospital Medicine at the new, state-of-the-art Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG). ZSFG is a premier safety-net hospital and trauma center run in partnership by city of San Francisco and UCSF since 1873. ZSFG serves as one of the main clinical sites for the UCSF School of Medicine and the Internal Medicine residency program.

The principal responsibilities for faculty hospitalists include supervision of residents on the medicine teaching service and medical consultation/co-management service, and direct care of inpatients with assistance from a nurse practitioner. All positions include protected academic time and mentorship to develop interests in teaching, quality improvement, and research.

Successful candidates will have outstanding clinical and teaching skills and potential for leadership in quality improvement, curriculum development, research, or another academic area. Interest and experience in the care of underserved populations is highly preferred. Candidates must be ABIM board-eligible or board-certified. Positions include a faculty appointment at the University of California San Francisco, flexible schedule, and competitive benefits package.
