Oral Epidemiology and Dental Public Health (OEDPH) Faculty

The University of California, San Francisco, School of Dentistry, Department of Preventive and Restorative Dental Sciences, is seeking full time faculty members in the Clinic X Professor series (at the ranks of Full Professor) to support its teaching programs in Oral Epidemiology and Dental Public Health (OEDPH). The appointment will be in the Department’s Division of OEDPH.

Primary duties will include teaching and mentoring, research, and service. Teaching activities include didactic lectures, clinical, and seminar activities covering all areas of preventive and restorative dentistry, specifically dental public health.

The individuals selected must have a U.S. DDS/DMD, MPH or an equivalent degree, and be board certified in the specialty of dental public health. Extensive predoctoral and/or postgraduate teaching and mentoring experience is required.

The Candidate must have a track record of funded projects or research grants and demonstrate the potential to become an independent researcher in the area of dental public health and health disparities. The department is interested in deepening its domain expertise in the areas of perinatal oral health research.

A successful candidate has collaborated with health agencies at local and state levels to translate evidence to real community settings to effect positive health outcomes. Therefore, experience in community engagement is strongly preferred.

Academic rank and salary level will be based on the successful applicant’s experience.
