Position description

Junior Specialist (Basbuam Lab)

The Department of Anatomy is now recruitment for a Junior Specialist. The responsibilities will include:

  • Behavioral testing of mice
  • Molecular Biology including DNA extraction and PCR.
  • Ability to perform mouse handling including colony maintenance, Ear tag, and anesthesia.
  • Lab meetings, including participation in journal club and presentation of research data.

The qualified candidate must possess a baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) or at least four years of research experience. The qualified candidate must possess computer skills using Excel and Outlook. Experience working with rodents is essential.

Screening of applicants will begin immediately and will continue as needed throughout the recruitment period. Salary will be commensurate with the applicants experience and training.
