Junior, Assistant or Associate Specialist

The Department of Laboratory Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking to recruit a research specialist with expertise in tumor immunology. The successful candidate appointed at the junior rank must have a bachelor’s degree in medical science research (or equivalent degree) or at least four years of research experience. The successful candidate appointed at the Assistant or Associate rank must have a graduate degree in medical science research with at least 2 years of related research experience. Expertise in immunology, with research skills in flow cytometry, tumor injection into mice, and analysis of tumor cell infiltrates in mouse models will be highly advantageous. The candidate is expected to become a full participant in the UCSF Immunology Program. The work will be done in the laboratory of Dr. Clifford Lowell, within the Department.

Appointees in the Specialist series will be expected to engage in specialized research, professional activities and do not have teaching responsibilities. Specialists are expected to use their professional expertise to make scientific and scholarly contributions, and may participate in University and Public Service.
