The Department of Pathology at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking an outstanding candidate for a full-time faculty position as a Surgical Pathologist/Cytopathologist/Hematopathologist at the Zuckerberg General Hospital.

Candidates must have an MD degree (or MD equivalent), a valid California medical license (or qualifications to obtain one at the time of appointment), be Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology and have completed a Cytopathology Fellowship with eligibility or certification in Cytopathology. Applicants with fellowship training in general surgical pathology and hematopathology with a focus on lymphoid malignancies will be favored. Salary and appointment rank will be commensurate with the applicant’s experience and training. This position is based in the Department of Pathology at Zuckerberg General Hospital. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated and participated in clinical and/or translational research and have shown a strong commitment to teaching. She/he is expected to participate in night and weekend surgical pathology call, departmental teaching activities for medical students, house-staff, and fellows, and interdepartmental conferences. Candidates must possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
