The Department of Medicine of the University of California, San Francisco and the Division of Hematology/Oncology invite applications for a full-time faculty position in the Health Sciences or Clinical X series at the Assistant or Associate Professor level for a combined position in Adult Hereditary Cancers and Experimental Therapeutics.
Clinical Care and research activities will be divided approximately evenly between a growing Hereditary Cancers Clinic and a well-established Experimental Therapeutics Program/Phase 1 Clinic. It is anticipated that the incumbent will integrate these programs, and will develop a clinical research program in this interface. In addition, the incumbent will provide faculty oversight of the integration of genetic testing in solid tumor cancer patients in the clinical cancer center.
Applicants must have an MD, Boarded/Eligible Medical Oncology, Clinical Experience in Cancer Patients with Hereditary Cancers, including familiarity with genetic testing approaches. Clinical Experience in a Phase 1 setting. Clinical research experience, including protocol development. Training in human genetics as pertaining to cancer.
