The Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital-San Francisco are seeking candidates for full-time faculty positions at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, and full Professor ranks in the Adjunct, Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Clinical X, and In Residence faculty series. Candidates must possess a medical degree and valid license, a clinical background in Pediatric CICU, Board Certification in Pediatrics, and Board Certification/Eligibility in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Preferred qualifications include a strong academic background and interest in pursuing a career in clinical research and teaching.
The positions are in our Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, with 20 faculty and 12 fellows. The Benioff Children’s Hospital-SF includes 12 CICU Beds, 20 PICU beds, 12 Cardiac Transitional Care Beds, and 16 General Med-Surgical Transitional Care Beds. The positions provide an ideal environment for collegial interactions, clinical research as well as other academic endeavors, and excellent clinical care. The successful candidate will also participate in the teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, and fellows, and undertake other academic activities consistent with their interests and faculty series.
