The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is seeking an Interventional Radiologist for a faculty position. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical X, in-Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.
Faculty are expected to develop a clinical or more basic research program in the area of one's specialty focus. Responsibilities include clinical service, teaching and research. The selected candidate will supervise and teach residents, fellows and medical students in interventional radiology. Obligations will include clinical work at UCSF Moffitt/Long Hospital, UCSF/Mt. Zion, and Mission Bay Hospital, all of which are affiliated teaching, clinical and research facilities of UCSF. Obligations may also include clinical work at the San Francisco VA Medical Center and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, which are also affiliated teaching, clinical and research facilities of UCSF.
The position requires an MD degree (or equivalent), ability to practice medicine in California, expertise in interventional radiology, and completion of fellowship training in interventional radiology. Applicants are expected to be board certified (or eligible) in Radiology and to obtain a Certificate of Added Qualification in Interventional Radiology. The requirements are to be met before the start of the faculty appointment.
