Health Sciences Assistant/Associate/Full Clinical Professor
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Faculty

Position Description: This part-time in the DNP Program is administered by the Dean’s Office. The appropriate academic department will be determined upon hire. Major responsibilities include: participate with DNP program faculty in planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the DNP program and curriculum; develop and implement online coursework; provide academic advisement to assigned DNP students; participate in screening of DNP program applicants; participate in DNP program meetings and department/school/campus committees as assigned; participate directly in DNP Scholarly Project development and/or DNP Committee activities; advance the DNP role through scholarly activities.

Minimum Requirement - Education/Licensure:
-Doctorate of Nursing Practice or PhD in Nursing or allied field

Required Experience:
-Two or more years of experience teaching at the graduate level or above, with responsibility for course design and implementation
-One or more years of experience with online/distance education and technology enhanced learning
-Demonstrated teaching excellence and involvement in scholarly/creative activities

Preferred Experience:
-Strong communication, writing, problem solving and interpersonal abilities
-Experience working with underserved and diverse populations
-Active, unencumbered RN licensure issued by CA BRN
-CA BRN licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (i.e. NP, CNS, CRNA or CNM)
-National certification (or eligibility for certification) in an APRN role
-Experience leading, supervising and/or working with inter-professional groups
-Experience designing and developing online nursing coursework
