Assistant/Associate Professor In-Residence
UCSF Department of Dermatology
The Department of Dermatology of the University of California at San Francisco is seeking to appoint a new faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to establish a research program focused on understanding the role of skin antigen presentation cells in health, autoimmune disease and cancer, with the goal to eventually translating findings in the laboratory into therapeutic strategies for patients suffering from these conditions. The successful candidate will also devote some of his/her time towards clinical care of patients. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for teaching residents, medical students, and housestaff. The appointee will be given laboratory space on the Parnassus Heights campus of UCSF, and will be a member of the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program.
Candidates are required to hold a MD or MD/PhD degree, and to have demonstrated achievement in their field.
