The Department of Pathology at the University of California San Francisco is seeking outstanding candidates for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in the Clinical (X) series. Experience in Molecular Pathology or completion of Molecular Pathology Fellowship is required. This position will be based in the Department of Pathology primarily at the Mount Zion campus.

Candidates must have an MD degree, valid California Medical License (or eligible at the time of appointment), be Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology, and have certification of added qualification in Cytopathology.

The individual will be expected to participate primarily in the cytopathology service, as well as night and weekend surgical pathology call. She/he will have the opportunity to sign out molecular pathology (UCSF500 cases).

The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in clinical and/or translational research. She/he is expected to participate in departmental teaching activities for medical students, house-staff, and fellows, and in interdepartmental conferences.
