The Department of Pathology at the University of California San Francisco is seeking outstanding candidates for a full-time faculty position with clinical service responsibilities primarily in cytopathology who will function as a Clinical Instructor (level) in the Health Sciences Clinical series. This position is based in the Department of Pathology primarily at the Mount Zion campus.
Candidates must have an MD degree, valid California Medical License, and be Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology, and have certification of added qualification in Cytopathology (or eligible at the time of appointment).
The individual will be expected to participate in the cytopathology service, night and weekend surgical pathology call, departmental teaching activities for medical students, house-staff and fellows, and interdepartmental conferences. Knowledge of molecular pathology is desirable. She/he will be encouraged to participate in clinical and/or translational research.
