Surgical Pathologist with Expertise in Gastrointestinal Pathology

The Department of Pathology of the University of California San Francisco is seeking outstanding candidates for a full-time faculty position with service, teaching and research responsibilities primarily in surgical gastrointestinal pathology at the Assistant or Associate level in the Clinical (X) series.

Candidates must have an MD degree, valid California Medical License or qualifications to obtain one, and be Board Certified (or eligible at the time of appointment) in Anatomic Pathology. GI and/or Liver Pathology Fellowship completion or experience in either of these subspecialties is required. Individuals with completion of academic endeavors (such as invited talks, publications) are highly desirable. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are preferred.

The individual will be expected to participate in the surgical pathology service including night and weekend call, departmental teaching activities for medical students, house-staff and fellows, interdepartmental conferences, and clinical and/or translational research.
