Physician Bench Scientist
Assistant or Associate Professor of Medicine and Anatomy

The Departments of Medicine and Anatomy at the University of California, San Francisco are partnering to recruit a physician bench scientist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level who is engaged in basic research. The tenure-track position requires current board certification in Medicine, and board-certification in a subspecialty is preferred. The areas of research allowed are broad, with preference for developmental biology, cancer, cell signaling, or related areas. Candidates must have demonstrated exceptional potential to conduct independent research of importance and high quality. Successful candidates will be eligible for faculty membership in the UCSF Biomedical Sciences graduate program in addition to their appointment in Medicine and Anatomy. Outstanding research space and a generous start-up package will be provided. Applications will be reviewed starting in October, 2016, and will continue until the position is filled.
