The Department of Psychiatry at University of California, San Francisco is dedicated to building a strong, research-focused clinical and training program in child and adolescent psychiatry. In support of this goal, we are committed to recruiting exceptional junior and senior faculty members with strong records and potential for conducting outstanding research in child and adolescent psychiatry and related disciplines. The Department invites applications for full-time Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Researchers and Clinician-Researchers at the Instructor to Full Professor level in a series commensurate with experience, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2016 or thereafter.

Qualifications
• MD, MD/PhD, PhD or equivalent
• Postdoctoral research training
• Record of peer-reviewed publications
• Record of research grant funding
o K-award training or imminent application for junior candidates
o Record of RO1 or equivalent funding for senior faculty candidates
• Track record of investigational work in at least one of the basic, translational or clinical sciences directly contributing to the etiology, prevention, diagnosis and/or treatment of childhood and adolescent onset neuropsychiatric disorders. Areas of interest include but are not restricted to: developmental neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience, developmental psychology, developmental psychopathology, genetics, epidemiology/genetic epidemiology, prevention science, neuroimaging, biological, behavioral and psychosocial treatment research, etc.

• Physician applicants for the Clinician-Researcher role must be board certified in Psychiatry; board certified or eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry; licensed to practice medicine in California at time of appointment; and have demonstrated clinical and educational experience, scholarship, and management skills in child and adolescent psychiatric services.

• Psychologist applicants for the Clinician-Researcher role must have completed a PhD or equivalent; both pre- and postdoctoral training in child and adolescent psychology or a related field; licensed to practice psychology in California at time of appointment; and have demonstrated clinical and educational experience, scholarship, and management skills in child and adolescent psychiatric services.

All candidates must have a track record of scholarly activity, including an active program of research, peer-reviewed publications, grant support and demonstrated skills as an educator. Candidates for junior positions must have strong regional and national reputations. Candidates for senior positions at the Associate Professor and Professorial level should have distinguished national and international reputations as leaders in their field.
